Thailand Visa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens in 2026

Pakistani passport holders generally need a visa to visit Thailand for tourism. For applications from Pakistan, Thailand now uses the Thai e-Visa system, so applicants can submit the application online rather than physically submitting their passport and supporting documents at the embassy.

🇹🇭 Thailand Tourist Visa — Pakistan

For a typical Pakistani tourist travelling to Thailand, prepare:

The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad specifically lists passport validity, an empty passport page and employment/cover documentation among tourist-visa requirements.

💻 How to Apply in 2026

The process is now largely online:

  1. Create an account on the official Thai e-Visa website.
  2. Select Pakistan as your current location.
  3. Select Tourist Visa (TR).
  4. Complete the application.
  5. Upload your supporting documents.
  6. Pay the visa fee.
  7. Wait for processing.
  8. If approved, receive the e-Visa confirmation by email.
  9. Print/save the approval and carry it when travelling.

The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that e-Visa applicants no longer need to submit their passport and supporting documents in person. The embassy can, however, request an interview or additional documents.

💰 Thailand Tourist Visa Fee

The Royal Thai Embassy Islamabad’s published fee schedule lists:

  • Single-entry tourist visa: PKR 13,000
  • Multiple-entry tourist visa: PKR 65,000

However, the embassy’s published fee page was last updated in 2022, so confirm the current amount shown in the e-Visa application before quoting a customer a final fee.

⏱️ Processing

Don’t book a customer’s non-refundable travel arrangements solely on the assumption that the visa will be approved. The Thai e-Visa system explicitly states that submitting an application does not guarantee visa issuance, fees are non-refundable, and the embassy may request additional documents or an interview.

📌 Important for Pakistani Applicants

For Pakistani applicants, I would recommend making the application file particularly strong around:

  • Financial capacity
  • Employment/business ties in Pakistan
  • Clear travel purpose
  • Genuine hotel and flight itinerary
  • Previous international travel history, if available
  • Consistent information across bank statement, employment/business documents and itinerary

For a self-employed/business applicant, include relevant company registration, business proof, bank statements and tax/business documentation where applicable.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad is the responsible Thai mission for visa services in Pakistan. Its visa/consular services are currently listed as Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
